AbstractYoung children on antiretroviral therapy (ART) exhibit superior immune reconstitution to adults due partly to high frequencies of naïve T cells and preserved thymic function. We report on immunological investigations in a child commenced on ART during the neonatal period by selecting markers previously associated with viraemic control in adults.
